From a dazzling palace to deep forests overflowing with mystical beasts, and from diving into mysterious and mystical oceans to soaring into the infinite expanse of space, these cutting-edge experiences can only be found at “Digital Delicious.” Held at Basil on the 1st floor of Sheraton Grand Sukhumvit, this futuristic restaurant is a collaboration between the hotel and renowned digital art company Doozy Digilab.
The restaurant serves meals at 3 different times of day: lunch, dinner, and afternoon tea. Personally, I had the opportunity to experience the dinner, which will be served as a 4-course menu with four spectacular 4D digital art themes that we will discuss in this article.
THE HAPPENING EXPERIENCE
When stepping into the chamber, you will receive a warm welcome from the restaurant’s staff in a tastefully adorned lounge as well as little snacks to enjoy while you’re waiting. Within this elegant space, screens will showcase captivating teasers of concept art and tantalizing dishes that await all diners. These visuals aim to ignite excitement within the diners, enticing them to venture inside and immerse themselves in the unique experience offered by Digital Delicious.
Future is Now
When it’s time, the staff will escort all diners into a distant future beyond imagination, where they can enjoy fine-dining luxury dishes amidst images, illumination, colors, and sounds, as well as an interactive dining table that they can touch.

Castle in the Sky
The restaurant makes an impressive first impression with its first theme, “Castle in the Sky,” which will take you on an incredible virtual journey with a delightful menu, “Flower of Life.” This dish is simple and easy to eat; each of the components is made from top-notch ingredients such as caviar.
The plate is designed to allow for the display of attractive effects that brilliantly strengthen the atmosphere. Diners will be able to take in a sumptuous meal in a magnificent castle where the lines between 2 universes are gradually blurring.
Into the Wood
Walking out of the lavish palace into a deep forest where no one knows what kinds of greenery and mystical beasts exist, the restaurant serves the second dish, “Hidden Treasure,” in a surreal theme, Into the Wood. This dish symbolizes fantastic beasts and magical forest fruits to create a delectable menu.
Tender duck breast with a light flavor and aroma from a special sauce that pairs incredibly well with raspberries is presented on a portioned plate to emphasize the effect of gorgeous flora and butterflies.
Deep Blue Sea
Far, far away from the Mysterious Forest, Digital Delicious transports guests to an enigmatic, dark ocean teeming with unidentified jellyfish and giant octopus, which is about to be slaughtered and grilled for a delectable dish themed “Deep Blue Sea“.
The third dish of this course is “The Octlantis,” a soft and smooth risotto with crispy puffed rice that contrasts with the distinct aroma and flavor of grilled squid kneading. This dish is the meal’s main highlight given that it is served in just the right amount, allowing diners to enjoy their meal while observing the jellyfish effect on the table, which changes color when touched.
A Space Odyssey
And then the journey that I did not want to end has come to an end. From the unfathomable ocean, Digital Delicious teleports its diners soaring to a sky full of stars and glittering planets in the endless abyss of the universe under the theme of “Space Odyssey“. Our final dish of the day is a delightful dark chocolate mousse representing the planets on display along with the sweet crumbles symbolizing the galactic rocks with the name “A Space Odyssey“.
And the most unique aspect of our last dish today is the dry ice that is displayed in the form of smoke floating like in futuristic space. The Chocolate Mousse was equally sweet and rich, and it was the perfect way to cap off this special meal!
