How many awards were announced this year by Michelin Guide Thailand 2025?
This year, the Michelin Guide Thailand announced 462 awards, covering major categories similar to previous years. These include Michelin Stars: 36 awards for one-star, two-star, and Thailand’s first three-star Michelin restaurants. Special Awards: Four categories were highlighted: the MICHELIN Guide Young Chef Award, the MICHELIN Guide Service Award, the MICHELIN Guide Opening of the Year Award, and The MICHELIN Guide Sommelier Award. In addition, 156 restaurants were awarded MICHELIN Bib Gourmand and 4 Michelin Green Star awards.

Michelin Star is the most prestigious award in the culinary world, given brief reviews or recommended by Michelin. It is considered the glorious award that chefs globally desire, and there are many different formats to consider. However, the evaluation criteria are based on five main criteria

Special Awards
This year, the MICHELIN Guide Service Award was given to Yupa Sukkesem from Baan Thepaa for her outstanding dedication to providing exceptional service, ensuring diners have a remarkable dining experience.
Next, the MICHELIN Guide Young Chef Award is given to an outstanding young chef who has demonstrated exceptional potential over the past 12 months. This year, the award was presented to Sittikorn Janthaphat from Akkee.
Following that, the MICHELIN Guide Opening of the Year Award is given to a newly opened restaurant that has gained significant attention within the country over the past 12 months. This year, the award was presented to Ore, a minimalist restaurant known for its creative 30-course menu prepared using innovative cooking techniques.
To conclude the special awards, the MICHELIN Guide Sommelier Award is presented to a wine expert who provides excellent recommendations on various types of wine, ensuring customers have the best wine experience possible. This year’s recipient is Cote, who, with 4 years of experience, has earned recognition for their politeness and ability to inspire confidence and enjoyment in wine lovers.
